One of the most effective ways to build a database of potential customers is to establish a point of capture where people are going to add themselves to your database. This is easily done with a website, but there are other ways to capture information.

The reason a website is the most effective is that you do not have to continuously work for this information. You do the work once when you build your website, provide minor maintenance to your website, and let your website and autoresponders do all of the contacting and information capture for you.
