Introduction to Networking for Business and Personal Growth!
My introduction to networking will show you how building a network is the way to grow your business and gain valuable personal information through others. If you don't understand the power of a network, you are seriously missing out on the great benefits. Building a network is the core of your life and business. Success comes from tapping into your network and by serving as many people as possible within that network. And it's not as hard as it sounds to build a network. You have actually been doing it all of your life, you simply may not have been doing it exactly right. It does take some time to develop a solid, well rounded network, but the time you spend developing your network will give you unlimited knowledge and earning potential in all of the future opportunities you strive for. As an introduction to networking, a network is defined as all of the people and businesses you know that you have any kind of relationship with. It starts with family, friends, and associates with whom you stay in contact with regularly. It eventually grows toward the businesses and people you know but don't generally stay in contact with regularly. You must establish a master database of everyone you know. I created the Keep In Touch Program which is an excellent way to store and retrieve information on everyone that is in your network. Once you have your base database established, you must fill in all of the information on everyone you know. This list will contain names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and any other information you know about the people and businesses that you know. It is important to know what kinds of skills, knowledge, and desires people within your network possess in order to tap into them and their networks to empower your life. It is all about who you know, and believe me, you know a lot of people. Building a network is a never ending process and should be done continuously for the rest of your life. Your network is the lifeline of skills and knowledge that you don't actually possess yourself. You don't know everything and you never will, that's why you rely on your network to help you know everything. The introduction to networking should teach you that your network is one of the most powerful forms leverage readily available to you or your business. When you use a network as leverage, you not only make yourself more knowledgeable, but you also open yourself to make more money. There are many ways you can tap into your network in order to make money, but one in particular is discussed in the Law of Networking. A way to use a network as leverage is by tapping into and applying Metcalfe's Law of Networking. Metcalfe's Law says that the economic power of a business is the square of the number in its network. Thus, the more people you have in your network, the more powerful and wealthy you become. Once you understand the Law of Networking, learning how to serve others will show you how to use a network as leverage even more when it comes to making money. Don't just take from your network, serve your network with your many skills, abundant abilities, and your vast knowledge. In conclusion, the introduction to networking steers you toward the educational value of your network. You can gain some of the best knowledge you can find through your network. Having a mentor is highly recommended, but simply asking someone to teach you what they know about a skill set you want to personally possess is great power. Learn as much from your network as possible when striving to build great wealth. An introduction to networking leads into basic networking where you will learn some of the basic skills you need to start expanding your network once you run out of people to put in from everyone you know.
